2024 RED Project Update: May-August (Weeks 19-35)

RED Platform: Key Developments

The RED Platform has undergone significant multilevel enhancements, with a strong focus on expanding its ecosystem through strategic partnerships and offering tailored blockchain solutions across various industries. Our current objective is to drive parallel growth in both feature development and business scaling to increase transaction volumes and MWAT token utility and deliver tangible benefits to our token holders.

As we navigate the evolving regulatory landscape, aligning with MiCA regulations remains a top priority in the coming months. Alongside ongoing development efforts, the publication of our updated whitepaper and the establishment of new partnerships are critical milestones. Achieving MiCA certification will unlock new avenues for blockchain solutions on the RED Platform.

Partnerships: Building Global Reach

We are thrilled to announce a new partnership with Polaris Network, securing a Master Franchise agreement across nine countries. Led by Jorge Marcos Madrid, this collaboration will enhance business sustainability and accelerate our expansion strategy. Jorge has been an invaluable asset to the RED Platform team, providing key insights into our platform’s growth trajectory.

Feature Enhancements: A Closer Look

Carbon Credits Registry

A significant upgrade has been deployed to the Carbon Credits Registry, introducing unique serial numbers for every carbon credit issued under the RED Carbon Standard. This enhancement is a pivotal step towards achieving recognition from standards like ICROA and ICVCM, solidifying the market value of our carbon credits. The improved registry is integral to the expansion of both the RED Carbon Standard and the overall RED Platform, bolstered by NFT issuance and staking capabilities that will drive transaction growth and MWAT demand.

Future Features

Our development team is also working on a new feature slated for release later this year. This functionality will underpin sustainability projects worldwide and will complement the RED Carbon Standard Registry, further streamlining carbon credit issuance and fostering new partnerships and integrations.

Whitepaper and MWAT Token

Our initial whitepaper release was scheduled for Q3; however, due to the need for an in-depth analysis of new MiCA regulations, we have adjusted our timeline, which will be communicated as we approach its finalization. The whitepaper will provide comprehensive details on the platform’s features, MWAT functionalities, and diverse use cases.

RED Carbon Standard: Latest Updates

New Website

The newly launched RED Carbon Standard website is now live, offering a complete resource for project certification, documentation, and processes. This portal will serve as a critical tool for projects seeking carbon credit certification under the RED Carbon Standard.

Project Certification

We are proud to announce that the first RED Carbon Standard-certified project is now active on the RED Platform Registry. This project includes two hydroelectric plants in Romania—Neagra Sarului 1 (0.805 MW) and Neagra Sarului 2 (1.830 MW)—that harness the Neagra Sarului River’s energy to supply clean power to the national grid. This initiative aligns with global sustainability goals, including climate action, affordable clean energy, and economic growth.
